Where in the World is TR Pynchon? Reading Group March 31 Meeting

 Hello Pynchon Fans

 This is the first blog that I'm attempting to send to an email group.  Hope everyone gets it.

 Last week we followed Oedipa as she went to a Yoyodyne stock holders meeting where she got lost and wandered into Stanley Kotek's cubicle (of course) He revealed some intriguing information, but once he realized she was not part of the W.A.S.T.E network he clammed up.  But he did recommend that she visit John Nefastis in San Francisco who has solved the Maxwell's Demon paradox (which wasn't solved until 1982).  This week we pick up the story on page 72 as she heads to San Francisco.

Where in the World is TR Pynchon? Reading Group March 24 Meeting

 Hello Pynchon fans

 At the last meeting we made it through the gruesome play The Courier's Tragedy (page 58) Whew!  With a curious mention of the word Trystero. Come Monday night at 5pm to the Commerce street brewery to discover more,  Plenty of time to catch up on the reading. Hope to see you there

 

Where in the World is TR Pynchon? Reading Group March 17 Meeting

 Hi Pynchon Fans

 

We took a little break last week but will be back again tomorrow March 17 (St Pat's Day) at Commerce St Brewery 5pm for another reading of The Crying of Lot 49

When we last left off, Oedipa, Metzger and the Paranoids were off on a picnic and they run into the lawyer Manny Di Presso who is running from some of his clients.

 Monday we will find out how he got away and will be introduced to the play "The Courier's Tragedy" which is a pivotal element in the plot.
